Shopping Carts of Savannah

Savannah’s streets are haunted by shopping carts. Where do they come from? What do they mean? I started documenting them in a niche way on Instagram, which is typically a platform for all things glamorous. It garnered an organic following because of the truth that resonated with the content. I’ve passed on the account anonymously and it still lives on.

“I think they’re oddly representative of the socioeconomic state of Savannah. You see them all over, even in the Historic District, and it just makes you remember that there’s this kind of tragic-ness that’s all throughout Savannah”.
